All user contact information is contained behind secured networks and is accessible only by the proprietor of KoalaWhere and a limited number of employees who have agreed to comply with all of our privacy and security policies. Passwords and credit card numbers are encrypted in the Australian Koala Foundation’s secure server, which is also located behind secured networks. All credit card information supplied by users is transmitted Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

Please be sure that your web browser is SSL-enabled. We recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0. You should always upgrade your web browser software to the latest versions for optimum security.

Our secure web pages are being hosted by the Australian KoalaFoundation, and we use a 128 bit SSL Certificate to ensure secure transmission of your information. This ensures that all information you send to us via the World Wide Web will be encrypted.

When you are on a secure page you will see a small padlock in the bottom right hand corner of your browser. Click on the padlock to confirm the currency of the digital certificate. Our website supports 128 bit encryption as long as you are running a 128-bit enabled browser.

Automatic Collection of Information; Cookies and IP Addresses
We use a feature of your web browser called a "cookie" to assign a unique identity to your computer. Cookies are files that your web browser places on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies enable us to provide features such as welcoming you by name and setting up other preferences you establish during each visit to the Site.

We also use cookies to help determine whether you came to the Site from a particular Internet link or banner advertisement. Cookies can be used to help save and retrieve account names used on the Site and provide information on past purchases. This is done for convenience and saves you the trouble of re-entering information on every visit to the Site. Cookies cannot be used by us to retrieve any personal information about you unless you have previously purchased from or registered with the Site. KoalaWhere does not and can not use cookies to retrieve personal information about you from your computer unless such information was knowingly and willingly provided by you.

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser's settings to block them.

Every computer on the Internet is identified by a unique number called an IP address. If you have a static IP address, you get the same number each time you connect. If you have a dynamic IP address, a number is assigned from a pool of addresses maintained by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) on a first-come basis. KoalaWhere may record the IP address used when making an order for security purposes. Otherwise, KoalaWhere only uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our Site, and to gather basic demographic information. Examples of other types of automated information we may collect include, connection information such as browser type and version; operating system; and URL clickstream to, through and from the Site.

KoalaWhere has no responsibility or liability for these independent policies or actions, and is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites.
